Standards and Unit Intent
Within each unit in Social Studies we learn about all aspects of the culture. Please keep in mind, that we are studying the Islamic Civilization from a historical point of reference. Also realize that Islam, in this culture and time period, refers to the name of the civilization, government system, as well as religion. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
Standard 7.01 Describe and compare the beliefs, the spread, and the influence of religions throughout Europe, Asia, and Africa, Islam, Crusades, Holy Roman Empire.
Standard 7.03 Analyze the interconnections of people, places and events in economic, scientific and cultural exchanges that led to the Scientific Revolution, voyages of discovery and imperial conquest.
Standard 7.24 Analyze current and historical sources (e.g., artifacts, eyewitness accounts, letters and diaries, real or simulated historical sites, charts, graphs, diagrams, and written texts) for accuracy and point of view while forming questions.
